Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 August 2026
These terms govern use of Law Per Se at lawperse.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a firm, you confirm you are authorised to bind that firm.
1. What the Service is
Law Per Se is a professional-assistance tool for Indian legal practice: drafting, judgment research, opinions, chat, OCR, and document organisation. Outputs are starting points for an advocate or legal team. They are not, by themselves, formal legal advice, a court filing, or a certified opinion.
2. No lawyer–client relationship
Use of the Service does not create a lawyer–client, advocate–client, or fiduciary relationship with Law Per Se. You remain the counsel of record. You must review, edit, and take responsibility for every draft, citation, prayer, and filing before you serve or e-file it.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend an account that is abused, unpaid after a trial or subscription ends, or used unlawfully.
4. Your content
You retain rights in documents and text you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process that material solely to provide the features you request (for example generating a draft or extracting text). You must have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material you are forbidden to store on a third-party system.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to break into the Service, scrape other users’ data, or overload the system.
- Do not use outputs to mislead a court, invent citations, or pass machine text off as independently verified research without checking the record.
- Do not use the Service for unlawful surveillance or to process data you have no right to process.
6. AI outputs
Model outputs can be incomplete or wrong. Citations, dates, amounts, and annexure marks must be checked against the papers and authorities. We do not warrant that any output is fit for filing without your review.
7. Fees and trials
Some features are limited on a trial. Paid plans, if offered, are described at the time of purchase. Fees are not refunded except where Indian law requires.
8. Availability
We aim for reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or withdraw features with reasonable notice where practicable.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Law Per Se is not liable for lost filings, adverse orders, missed limitation, or other professional consequences of relying on an output without independent verification. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim, or ₹5,000 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that Indian law does not allow to be excluded.
10. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer or other protection that applies to you.
